Photographer of the Year 2021
March 2022 saw a return to an in-person award ceremony. Did your photographer pick up a trophy?
Earlier this month, for the first time in well over two years, we were able to get together as a company to celebrate the great work of our team both out on the road and in head office. We were able to enjoy our ‘Photographer of The Year” awards ceremony in person and have our first proper get together since January 2020.
NicheCom’s ‘Photographer of the Year’ award is an annual fixture, where we ask all our photographers to submit their finest work in a number of categories, giving them the opportunity to become our ‘Photographer of the Year.’
Our team are a competitive bunch and by trying to be the very best they can be, they keep raising the bar, which we hope, in turn, ensures you can market your properties with the best possible imagery.
This year, we asked the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) for a casting vote and were delighted that there was a clear overall winner.

Put a face to the name
Andy South, Founder and Group MD, took great pleasure in handing out trophies to those who went ‘above and beyond’ over the course of the year, as well as to those who won the most votes for their photographs. We did our best to get a photo of all our winners at some point during the evening.
Creative Photography
Creative photography is our speciality and our photographers never miss an opportunity for an eye-catching image. We are pleased to present the winners and runners up for each region in this category:
Documentary photography
Documentary photographs are considered to be a factual representation of part, or all of a property or capture the size, layout, fixtures/fittings or location in a single image. There were so many incredible entries but we could only have one winner and runner up for each area.
Best NicheCom newcomer
Recognising new talent (photographers that have been with NicheCom 12 months or less) we had some truly exceptional entries. London-based Gordon won in the ‘creative’ category and Ben won best ‘documentary’.

And saving the very best until last, winning the most votes overall, including an endorsement from the Royal Photographic Society, was this spectacular mirror image by Chloe.
This year, the winner will be joining our other high achievers on a trip to Berlin in December. Please join us in congratulating them all on producing such excellent work over the last 12 months!
